HEALING AND HELPING YOURSELF BUILD RESILIENCE IN A POST COVID WORLD OF TURMOIL.                                        Gerry Farrell

One of our core beliefs, that this world is generally benign, has been seriously challenged, from a mental health point of view, by both Covid and the Ukraine crisis. Another core belief that sustains us, namely, that REASON will generally prevail, has also been shaken. Both these beliefs now seem questionable when, nightly, on our news channels we witness the unnecessary suffering of families in a peace loving country.

This workshop seeks to help participants regain perspective and understand the steps necessary to restore mental health with that key element for all human functioning –TRUST.  The workshop is designed to be of relevance to all age groups, both the general public, and mental health care professionals. Based on up-to-date trauma research, as well as the useful tools of CBT, participants can expect to become more aware and equipped to cope with life in the context of current crises.
Saturday October 22nd 10-1.30pm Cost: €30

Gerry is a psychotherapist who has lectured at ATU Sligo as well as NUI Maynooth and UCD.
He has extensive experience in private practice as well as a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator.
