COMMUNITY GARDEN 10 WEEK COURSE
Each Thursday from April to October St. Michael’s is host to a great crop of gardeners. In view of the spire of the Cathedral they dig the earth, prepare the ground, plant the seeds and care for them conscientiously as they germinate and grow. When the weeds appear, as they assuredly do, these gardeners rake and hoe and root them out without recourse to artificial chemicals. They stay alert for slugs and caterpillars and deal with them in an environmentally friendly manner. When the sun shines and the rain is scarce they water these plant lovingly and watch them grow into healthy crops to be harvested and savoured.
Each year a new crop of gardeners is welcomed on our 10 week course. If you would like to join the course please enrol as soon as possible. When the 10 weeks is over you will be very welcome to continue with the group. Cost is €70 and the tutor costs are funded by the Sligo ETB

The Enneagram is a tool for self-understanding and growth. This introductory workshop will introduce people to the background of the Enneagram. We will discuss the three centres of intelligence: the head, the heart and the gut and how they affect how we interact with the world. We will examine how the nine numbers of the Enneagram present to us, how they relate to others, and understand why each number behaves in a particular way. We will also explore the special gift of the Enneagram; the paths to growth for each number. I hope that each participant will finish the weekend with greater compassion for themselves and others. This is a 2 day workshop Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th February 10am to 4.30. Light lunch is included on each day. Cost: €100 for the two days

A DAY FOR YOU Pernille Burns
This is a day dedicated to you and your well- being. There are three aspects of daily life which are fundamental to how we cope with life’s ups and downs—how we express our emotions, how we communicate our wishes and feeling to others and how we learn to be kind to ourselves by forgiving ourselves and not being judgemental of our own perceived failings. We will explore our individual habits and thinking style; set personal goals based on our unique values; learn how to live our life purposefully and stop ‘just getting by’; look at the stresses of life and how best to deal with them; explore different ways of communicating and discover the best method suited to ourselves. The day will include some mindful meditation and visualization exercises
